Mike & the Mad Dog back talking Knicks playoffs

 Francesa: Alright, Dog, it's time. Knicks-76ers, a playoff battle for the ages. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little jittery. This ain't your father's Knicks, but Philly…they're a juggernaut.

Russo: Are ya kiddin' me, Mike? JITTERS? This is what Knicks fans live for! Brunson's a baller, Randle's a beast, and don't get me started on Quickley. Look, the Sixers have Embiid and Harden, superstars no doubt, but this is the Garden! It's gonna be a dogfight, a freakin' war!

Francesa: Whoa, whoa, slow your roll, Dog. I know the Knicks have been surprising, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Embiid is a monster, and Harden…well, Harden's gonna get his calls.

Russo: Calls, schmalls! You think Thibs cares about some flops? This Knicks team has moxie, Mike! They got that New York grit, that never-say-die attitude. Embiid's gonna get frustrated, Harden's gonna start whining, and BAM, Knicks steal one on the road.

Francesa: I like the enthusiasm, Dog, but stealing one ain't gonna cut it. You gotta win four, and let's be real, this Sixers team is deep. Maxey off the bench, Tobias Harris…these guys can score.

Russo: Depth? Who cares about depth when you got Brunson droppin' dimes and Barrett playin' with that chip on his shoulder? They're gonna expose Philly's defense. And hey, maybe, just maybe, Mitch can get healthy and bang with Embiid a bit.

Francesa: Ok, ok, I see where you're comin' from. A healthy Mitch would be huge. But you know how the playoffs are, Dog. One bad game, one cold streak, and things can turn ugly.

Russo: That's the beauty of it, Mike! The chaos! Knicks haven't tasted the playoffs in years, you think they're scared? Nah, they're hungry! This is their chance to shock the world, and you know what, I think they just might do it. Knicks in 6, baby!

Francesa: In 6? Now that's bold, Dog. Bold indeed. You know I'm always the skeptical one, but hey, it's been a wild year for the Knickerbockers. Maybe they do have something special brewing. But you better believe the 76ers won't go down without a fight.

Russo: A fight is exactly what we want, Mike! Knicks against the world! Let's get those callers fired up, I wanna hear some predictions! This series is gonna be one for the history books!

 Here’s a transcript from the new Mike & the Mad Dog radio pwogram: Mad Dog: Mike, I'll tell you what, the New York Mets are a mess! They've got a losing record and they're struggling to score runs. I don't see them making the playoffs this year. Mike: Hold on, Mad Dog. I agree the Mets have had a rough start, but it's still early in the 2023 season. They're dealing with injuries to some key players, including Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo, and they're working to get some of their new acquisitions up to speed.
