Mike & Dog discuss the Knicks up 3-1 over Sixers

Mike: Alright, Dog, back after this. Mike and the Mad Dog. Gotta be honest, Dog… I'm stunned. Absolutely stunned, numbah one in the world. These Knicks…who woulda thought? Especially without Randle.

Chris: MIKE! Are you KIDDING ME? This is what I've been screamin' about! It ain't about ONE guy, Mike! It's about the whole TEAM! Brunson, Barrett steppin' up, Obi Toppin off the bench…they got it, Mike!

Mike: Obi Toppin? Dog, come on. The kid's got energy, I'll give ya that. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Brunson, I agree with ya. Barrett's showin' some flashes too. But no Randle? This team is overachievin', and you know it.

Chris: Overachievin'? No way, Mike! This is HEART! This is COACHING! Thibs has these guys playin' like a pack of wolves! Unselfish ball, crazy defense – they're makin' everyone look silly out there!

Mike: Alright, Philly at home, Game 5. Embiid finally decides to show up, Harden finds a spark. That rabid crowd…you think this feel-good Knicks story can handle that kinda pressure?

Chris: Handle it? Mike, they're gonna OWN it! The Garden was rockin', but those Philly fans are gonna FUEL these guys. And Embiid, Harden…they're dinosaurs, man! This Knicks team is young, hungry, and they ain't afraid!

Mike: Easy there, Dog. You're forgettin' – those Sixers are battle-tested. They got playoff experience. These Knicks, nice story so far, but they ain't closed a series out in years. That kinda history weighs on ya.

Chris: History? Mike, you're stuck in the past! This team is writin' its OWN story! You sayin' they don't got the guts? These guys BELIEVE, Mike! And belief beats 'experience' any day of the week!

Mike: Ah, belief again. Dog, Dog. Talent still wins out. I'm sayin' this series is far from over. Game 7, wouldn't surprise me a bit. And ya know what? Deep down, even you gotta be a little worried.

Chris: Worried?! Mike, you're outta your mind! Enjoy the show, man! This Knicks team is for real, and they're goin' all the way!

Mike: (Sighs) Alright, alright. We'll see. But somethin' tells me this ain't the Cinderella run you're makin' it out to be. Surprises in the playoffs, Dog…they always have a way of swingin' back around on ya.

Chris: Whatever ya say, Mike! Knicks in 6! Knicks in 6! You gotta believe!

I don't see them making the playoffs this year. Mike: Hold on, Mad Dog. I agree the Mets have had a rough start, but it's still early in the 2023 season. They're dealing with injuries to some key players, including Jeff McNeil and Brandon Nimmo, and they're working to get some of their new acquisitions up to speed.
